Beijing

BEIJING &

GREAT WALL

Family gathering in Ningbo for Christmas and the trip went to Beijing for 2 days. Our guide took us to the famous spots of Beijing including tasting the famous Beijing duck. There are many spots to see in Beijing and we just had the time to see some few of them. Bicycle taxi in the old part with low built houses is a great opportunity to experience real Beijing, it’s quite different compared to all new cities in China with skyscrapers and modern shopping malls. A visit in the forbidden city is a must, an impressive large palace with 980 buildings only for the Chinese emperors. Walking from south to north of the palace I recommend a visit in the Jingshan park when exit from the north gate. On the top of the hill there is a pagoda and a great view of the forbidden cities all buildings.

Another spot to visit is the Tiananmen square, the word largest square with its 220 000m². Here you can also see the Mao painting on the Tiananmen gate.

The second day we pay a visit to the Great wall of China. Fantastic scenery's in a sunny landscape.
